I’ve been working on making some fun things for Dragon*con. Here is a preview of a few of them. I wanted to make some bottle cap and scrabble necklaces to bring. Hopefully they count in the rules. I’m not sure which ones I’m going to put in, but the final ones will be matted in a white aceo sized mat, so they’re not too tiny.

A couple of days ago I found an awesome e-commerce site and I’ve been playing with it ever since. Mal’s E-Commerce. It is a lot like using paypal buttons, except you don’t have to go to paypal to create each and every button. You can even use paypal to accept payments. But I guess the part that makes me the happiest is that unlike the wordpress plug-in store I was using before, I now have total control over how my store looks. I probably used a few too many tables, but I wanted everything to be right where I put it and with the html form it seemed to be the best way to get everything to cooperate.

But I think the thing that made me the happiest were all the options I was able to add for discounts. Now I can print up some postcards for dragon*con with a discount code and know if anyone came here from there.

I spent a little time last night working on making some smaller prints to send to an art show. I decided to try and send some tiny ones because they are a little less expensive to make and to sell. I also haven’t really sent any of my digital work to shows as prints yet, so I wanted to see how that goes.
I was able to print them out two at a time on my usual paper and then worked on trimming each print down to 5″x7″ (These images are a bit different from the ones in my gallery because I had to resize them in Illustrator before hand, sadly 8″x10″ is not the same aspect ratio >.< )

I printed out 10 of each for a total of 60. Once cut I signed the back and bagged and boarded each. I just need to finish printing out the labels and they are ready to go.

Now to figure out what originals I’m sending to the show.
